About Dr Dominique Gallagher-Avery
Dr Dominique has special interests in paediatrics, women's health, chronic disease management, aged care and palliative care. She has additional training in mental health, non-directive pregnancy support counselling, and antenatal shared care.
Dominique completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Wollongong in 2021, after transitioning into medicine from a successful background in music. She moved to Wollongong in 2018 to pursue her medical studies, inspired by her experience volunteering in palliative care at Westmead Children's Hospital.
Outside of work, Dominique enjoys travel, playing the violin, yoga, and exploring the food and natural beauty of the Illawarra.
